- Account information — Email address and password when you create an account
- Sermon manuscripts — Documents you upload for processing (PDF, DOCX, or pasted text)
- Generated slides — Slide decks produced by the Service from your manuscripts
- Custom themes — Background images, colors, and fonts you configure
- Support messages — Questions or feedback you send through our support chat or email
Information collected automatically:
- Usage data — Pages visited, features used, slide decks created, and export activity
- Device information — Browser type, operating system, and screen resolution
- IP address — Used for rate limiting, security, and approximate location
- Cookies — Authentication cookies and optional analytics cookies (see Section 8)
3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain the Service, including generating slides from your manuscripts
- Process payments and manage your subscription
- Send transactional emails (subscription confirmations, payment receipts, password resets)
- Send marketing emails if you opt in (onboarding tips, weekly summaries, product updates)
- Respond to support requests
- Monitor and improve the performance, security, and reliability of the Service
- Enforce our Terms of Service and prevent abuse
4. Your manuscripts and AI processing
Your sermon manuscripts are the most sensitive data we handle. Here is exactly how we treat them:
- Processing: Manuscripts are sent to Anthropic's Claude AI via their API solely to analyze structure and generate slides. Anthropic does not use your data to train their models when accessed through the API.
- Storage: Manuscripts and generated slides are stored securely in your account via Supabase (hosted on AWS). Only you can access your content.
- No sharing: Your manuscripts are never shared with other users, sold to third parties, or used for any purpose other than providing the Service to you.
- No training: We do not use your manuscripts or generated slides to train AI models.
- Deletion: You can delete any manuscript or slide deck from your account at any time. Deleted content is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.

6. Email communications
We send two types of emails:
- Transactional emails — Subscription confirmations, payment receipts, password resets, and security alerts. These cannot be opted out of as they are necessary for the Service.
- Marketing emails — Onboarding tips, weekly summaries, product updates, and feature announcements. You can opt out of these at any time from your dashboard settings or by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including:
- Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) for all data sent between your browser and our servers
- Encryption at rest for stored data via our infrastructure providers
- Authentication via secure, hashed passwords (Supabase Auth)
- Row-level security policies ensuring users can only access their own data
- Rate limiting on all API endpoints to prevent abuse
- No storage of payment card information (handled entirely by Stripe)
No system is 100% secure. If we become aware of a security breach affecting your data, we will notify you promptly in accordance with applicable laws.
8. Cookies
Slidr uses cookies for the following purposes:
- Essential cookies — Required for authentication and session management. These cannot be disabled as the Service will not function without them.
- Analytics cookies — Help us understand how users interact with the Service so we can improve it. These are optional and only set with your consent.
You can manage your cookie preferences at any time using the cookie banner or by adjusting your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent you from using the Service.
9. Data retention
We retain your account information and content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will permanently delete your personal data and content within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain certain records (such as billing records, which may be retained for up to 7 years for tax compliance).

11. Children's privacy
